I taught fifth grade at Saint James the Greater from 2006-2016. After 10 years in one grade, I moved to third grade at Saint James the Greater, and I taught one year of that grade. In 2017-2018, I taught first grade at Saint James the Greater. I moved to first grade, so I did not teach my daughter. My final year 2018-2019, I moved back to where my heart is----in third grade. I was at Saint James the Greater for 13 years.
Hobbies:

Why I Enjoy CKS:
Teaching has always been my passion, since first grade when my teacher asked us to stand and introduce ourselves and tell what we wanted to be when we grew up. I have been teaching Art to Kindergarten through 8th grade students at Most Sacred Heart School (MSH) in Eureka for the past two years, and continue to do so on days I am not at CTK. In addition to Art, I also teach Enrichment to grades 1-8 at MSH. Enrichment is a theme and project based learning opportunity for topics not typically covered in the traditional curriculum. Previous general themes have included the History of Childhood and Architecture and Design. For the eleven years prior to my entrance to the classroom, I was at home raising my five children. These five people have given me more experience than I have received in my professional positions at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the New York Public Library, and the National Gallery of Art combined!
Hobbies: I am a very active person who enjoys long walks up steep hills in the literal and figurative! And, I am always reading.
